2 c cold mint tea
1 frozsen kiwi
1 large handful raspberries
3 large strawberries
1 small handful watercress
You can really taste the complexity in this smoothie. It is not for anyone who just wants a froofy strawberry-banana -type thing! This is for real smoothie-lovers! The underlying bitterness of the watercress is counteracted by the sweetness of the strawberries and kiwi, which are balanced by the tartness of the rasperries, which is levened by the mellowness of the mint.
I leave the skin on the kiwi, to get those marvelous Omega-3s. You really can't taste the skin, as it is completely overpowered by all the awesome flavors contained in this magnificent smoothie!
You may notice that it calls for more liquid than usual; this is because there is so much frozen fruit in here, that the extra liquid is needed. If you prefer, you can always just leave the kiwi unfrozen (I don't buy frozen kiwis; I just buy them fresh, and then freeze a few for smoothies), and use less liquid. I thought the extra mint was nice, though, as well.
