1.5 c cold black tea
1/2 c frozen and diced canteloupe or honeydew
1/4 c frozen and diced pineapple
1 T turmeric
This is a very mild and innoffensive smoothie. It's a great way to sneak turmeric into the diets of those loved ones who refuse to ingest anything with weird names. Turmeric is suuuuper healthy, with anti-cancer antioxidants, and detoxing power. But let's face it, it's a spice with a weird name, and kind of a weird taste. You can't taste it in this smoothie. If you are not concerned with the weirdness, and being sneaky, you should add some cayenne pepper, because that would be awesome.
On a side note, I give you the option of either canteloupe or honeydew for two reasons: 1. They are both mild enough that it should work. 2. I bought my melon this morning at an Asian market, where it was marked as honeydew, but looked like canteloupe. So I figured I wouldn't make any assumptions, and leave everyone's options open!
