Sweet Ginger




1.5 c milk (I used soy)
1 T chopped ginger
1 small handful diced frozen mango
2 chopped dates
1 avocado
 
My friend Melissa requested a ginger-based smoothie.  I've made a couple with ginger tea, like the Spicy Herby Pineapple, and the Spinach Artichoke, but this one is really gingery!  Make sure you chop the dates, or they can get stuck in the blender blades, and really ruin things for you.  If your blender is really weak, you may want to use date paste, or even a different sweetener, like agave or stevia.  Of course, if you're lucky enough to have a high-powered blender, just throw the whole date in!
